Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ghactivity.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

ghactivity creates backdated commits in a private repository on your GitHub account to paint pixel art on your GitHub contribution graph. The art appears on your public GitHub profile.

Account Requirements

  • You must have a valid GitHub account to use the Service
  • You must authorize the ghactivity GitHub App with the required permissions to allow us to create repositories and commits on your behalf
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account

Subscription Plans and Billing

ghactivity offers the following plans:

  • Basic ($0) — all preset patterns, manual apply, commits pushed to a public repo
  • Pro ($2/month or $20/year USD) — custom pattern editor, automatic weekly updates
  • Studio ($5/month or $50/year USD) — everything in Pro, commits pushed to a private repo

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your account menu, or by contacting contacting us. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to create offensive, illegal, or misleading content on your contribution graph
  • Abuse the GitHub API or violate GitHub's Terms of Service through your use of ghactivity
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or interfere with other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

Preset patterns are provided by ghactivity. Custom patterns you create using our editor remain your own. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use your custom patterns solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Changes to GitHub's contribution graph rendering that may affect how your art appears
  • Any restrictions GitHub may place on your account as a result of automated commits
  • Service interruptions, data loss, or errors beyond our reasonable control

In no event shall ghactivity's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Refunds & Cancellation

Pro subscriptions are $2/month or $20/year USD. Studio subscriptions are $5/month or $50/year USD. We generally do not issue refunds for partial billing periods.

We may issue refunds at our discretion in the following circumstances:

  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Extended service outages that prevented you from using the Service
  • First-time subscribers within 48 hours of their initial charge

To request a refund, contact us with your GitHub username and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
